Chulucanas, Piura – Committed to continuing the promotion of sustainable rural development, CIPCA Peru is actively supporting producers and entrepreneurs in the Alto Piura Corridor by strengthening their technical and organizational capacities.
As part of this effort, on May 28 and 29, the workshop titled “Agro-industrial Processes for Pulps, Frozen, Dehydrated Products, and Nectars” was held at the facilities of the Catholic University Sedes Sapientiae (UCSS) in Chulucanas. Fifteen women and five men participated, all of whom are leading fruit-growing initiatives in their communities.
This training session, facilitated with CIPCA’s technical support, enabled participants to gain practical knowledge in fruit processing, incorporating Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene standards, and quality control—key elements for improving the competitiveness and sustainability of their ventures.

This activity is part of the project: “Improving Living Conditions for Farming Families through Cacao and Fruit Tree Cultivation in Alto Piura,” promoted by CIPCA Peru. The initiative aims to strengthen local capacities, generate added value, and foster inclusive and resilient economies.
Through this close and ongoing support, CIPCA reaffirms its commitment to empowering rural communities to take the lead in their own development.
